Restoration

Saint Columba's Church, after centuries of continuous use and exposure to the elements, has been forced to close its doors.

Much to the dismay of parishioners, the people of Swords, and those further afield, this beautiful building was forced to shut, after the ceiling started to cave in.

Consultation with professionals has revealed that the amount needed to save the building far exceeds the capability of the relatively small number of parishioners. However, the church cannot be used again until restoration and repair work is done.
