Meet the Artist

My name is Yvonne Patterson and I'm a painter and ceramic artist.

I'm also an experienced art teacher. My aim is to deliver high-quality classes and workshops from my studios in beautiful County Tipperary, Ireland.

I wish to provide people with an introduction to the joys and pleasures of pottery and art.

Selected Exhibited Works

		These larger than lifesize ceramic mosaic dog statues were created as part of a project to place sculpture in the community, and were exhibited at the Kilkenny Arts Festival. Click to see a larger version on the Gallery page.

Training & Professional Experience

I completed a Foundation in Fine Art course in 1989 at Galway Regional Technical College, and a Certificate in Visual Education from the National Council for Education. Following that, I attended Larkin Community College in Dublin and was awarded the Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme Award in Sculpture and Ceramics.

In 2000, I took a Qualification in Bronze Casting at NCAD (the National College of Art and Design) and the same year, began Curatorship Training with the Alternative Entertainment Art Group.

More recently, I was awarded a Certificate in Business Studies by Offaly Enterprise Board, and studied Business Administration to Fetac Level 5 with the national training agency FAS (now known as Solas). I have years of experience teaching art, ceramics, and sculpture in private classes, and at Camphill Community, and at Dunfirth Farm Community.
